Children as young as 9 are able to participate in historic motor sport thanks to a bold initiative from the British Historic Kart Club.
BHKC offer separate track time to drivers from the age of 9 to 16 the regulations being based on the various junior series run during the 1970s which proved the training ground for so many aces. Juniors may drive Veteran, Vintage and Historic 100cc karts using the specified control tyres and a maximum carburettor size of 19mm.
All Junior drivers will observed at each event to ensure they demonstrate that they can drive in a safe manner.
