Club day at Fulbeck 7th July 2013

Post by briansa3 »

hi all

A fantastic day with good weather and relaxed atmosphere. most people got their gremlins sorted out. As a bonus we even got a fly past by the red arrows, the battle of Britain memorial flight and a Tornado.
The introduction of making karts and sessions available for the novice/newcomer/interested people worked really well with several people taking advantage of the opportunity. Tony Brinkworth's 1982 Wright/Yamaha 100cc with centrifugal clutch was one of the karts available and it did exactly as "it said on the tin". just to prove it he even found a person of suspect nature and suspect driving ability when it comes to class ones to test it! yes a very nice kart to drive and very forgiving for the novice, even keeps running happily when one is not facing the right way! it will be available at future meeting for people to try. I will put some photos on this thread when they become available.

Next club meeting will be back at Fulbeck on August 4th where we will be adding a sprint challenge for the experts in addition to test sessions and more novice sessions. Get you entry into Peter Brinkworth.
