Shenington has always been considered one of the UK’s premier circuits.  The Shenington Kart Racing Club spawned the British Historic Kart Club when, in 2000, the first gathering of historic karts assembled at the Oxfordshire circuit to help celebrate its fortieth anniversary. This became a regular part of the Shenington SuperPrix, held on the third weekend of June each year.
