evolved from a group of enthusiasts who attended Shenington KRC’s fortieth anniversary race meeting in June 2000 to demonstrate their old karts and following that event, it grew rapidly with The British Historic Kart Club being formed in 2005. The club now has around 300 members, and historic karting has over 2000 Facebook followers and is a recognised branch of karting in both the UK and Europe.

September 29 & 30th will see the British Historic Kart Club going to Dunkeswell as part of their September Championship Round. We will take part in the Saturday Open Practice before putting on 2 x 10 minute demonstration runs on the Sunday. This is a great opportunity to see the history of karting at an iconic circuit. They are working on some other things to make this already special event even more memorable so watch this space.
